Sasquatch! 2013 Screen Print For Brothers From Another by ME
I’ve spent the past couple weeks going straight to the studio after work to get working on these prints. This is a ~18×24″, 4 color screen print (4th color is a varnish on the blue). Hand-printed and illustrated by ME! And I didn’t use no stinkin’ computers either.
For the burn, I painted right on the transparency with several coats of black ink to make sure it was the blackest of all blacks. The weirdest part is that when kids would want to see the design of what I was working on, I couldn’t show them since it wouldn’t actually exist until I printed it (typically there’d be a digital mock up that would later be color-separated and sent to a third-party printer). So I just had to trust what I saw in my head and my little pencil sketches.
